Vegan Strawberry Matcha Latte

Hi guys, I just wanted to share with you an amazing summer drink recipe that will become your new obsession. If you're not a big fan of matcha, I totally get it but trust me, this recipe will make you a believer. Matcha is basically the green tea leaves powdered down. Did you know it is known as the super tea in the world of teas because of its incredible health benefits? Some people say it gives you a milder buzz than coffee, but for a longer period so win-win I say, but honestly, we're more in it for the delicious taste. You can enjoy matcha in so many different ways, from a hot matcha shot to a creamy latte – the possibilities are endless, so get creative and find your favourite way to enjoy it. We can't get enough of the earthy flavour of matcha paired with the sweet, juicy goodness of strawberries. Using frozen strawberries adds a delightful tangy kick that you just can't get with fresh ones. Plus, having a bag of these in the freezer means we are always ready to whip up a refreshing smoothie whenever the craving strikes. For this recipe we have maple syrup, but it really is sweet enough without it, but you decide .

The best part? You don't need any fancy equipment to make matcha – any old whisk will do or an old jam jar with a lid, and you can use any type of milk you like. Our personal favourite is oat milk – it gives the matcha a rich, creamy flavour that's just irresistible. The pink milk will last so make plenty and just refrigerate.
