Spicy Hoisin Cauliflower Wings
* To make these tasty Spicy Cauliflower Wings vegan follow the recipe but use plant based butter and milk.
Well, guys we kicked off last weekend with these delicious cauliflower wings. Ok Ok ! Not real wings we obviously wouldn’t eat real wings. These spicy hoisin cauliflower wings are high up in our favourites at the moment so we thought we would share with you guys. They are slightly sweet, tangy and spicy a perfect combo in our eyes. Now don’t get us wrong the meat eaters in the family may laugh at the name but let them, before you know it they are the ones coming back for more and more lol.
We know you may have seen a lot of recipes for cauliflower wings but we feel ours differs in the taste. Some other recipes just taste of coating and whilst ours has a delicious, sticky and flavoursome coating you still get the flavour coming through from the cauliflower. We think the panko breadcrumbs are essential in this recipe they can be bought from most supermarkets now days you might find them in the world food isle or in the Japanese section. We use these a lot as they are gluten free so they work well in our family. Buy more than you need as we will be sharing our easy Katsu Curry recipe very soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Now you might not have come across Sriracha before but it’s a really useful ingredient to have in your cupboards. It’s a spicy fermented sauce a little like spicy ketchup. Taste a little and decide how spicy you find it but remember the 60g is split over the whole Spicy Hoisin Cauliflower wings recipe so try not to use a lot less maybe follow the recipe the first time then adapt it the next time. Our biggest tip will have to be make more than you think you will need because believe us these spicy hoisin cauliflower wings will fly off the plate, so get doubling or even tripling this recipe, depending on your numbers. They are great with any saucy dip or a colourful slaw .
So we hope you like this recipe and enjoy sharing them with family and friends.
