Stilton and Mango Chutney Christmas Tree

We are in full Christmas party planning mode here at Avo Feast, things are getting busy!!!!

We have another 3 ingredient recipe for you guys, it’s a show stopper and utterly delicious. You will love this stilton and mango Christmas tree. It might not be a combination you are used to, but trust us it’s a taste sensation. Stilton and mango chutney are great on a toastie too.

It’s perfect for a party just tear and share. We are going to make this on New Year’s Eve and we are sure it will take centre stage. So give it go and let us know how it goes. If you think this is too large for your family just use 1 puff pastry sheet and use 50 g of Stilton and 1/2 jar of mango chutney.

Ingredients

2 packs of ready rolled puff pastry

100g strong stilton

1 small jar mango chutney

Egg to glaze

Method

  1. Remove pastry sheets from packaging 10 mins before use.

  2. Cut a Christmas tree shape out of 1 sheet of pastry

  3. Spread with mango chutney

  4. Add crumbled stilton on the top.

  5. Add the top layer of pastry and cut around. Press edges firmly together.

  6. Cut 12 lines from the bottom to the top, leave a trunk in the middle.

  7. Twist the branches.

  8. Glaze with egg.

  9. Cook At 180* for 20/25 minutes or till golden brown.
